As a member of the steering committee of the Affordable Mail Alliance, Straus helped shape arguments that led to the recent rejection of the U.S. Postal Service's proposed 8% “exigent” postal rate increase for periodicals. Straus recently announced his retirement from the practice of law after more than 40 years, including more than two decades as American Business Media's Washington counsel.
