Griffin officially named Time Inc. CEO

New York—Time Warner officially announced Monday that Jack Griffin has been named CEO of Time Inc. He will succeed Ann Moore, who is retiring but will serve as chairman through the transition, when he joins the company at the end of September.

Griffin was previously president of Meredith Corp.'s national media group. “He is an exceptional executive who knows how to expand the reach and relevance of strong publishing brands, and he will be a champion of our high-quality journalism,” Time Warner Chairman-CEO Jeff Bewkes said in a statement.

Under Griffin, Meredith was noted for creating Meredith Integrated Marketing, a digital marketing services unit.
