New York—American Business Media announced Tuesday that it has expanded its Business Information Network figures to include a fourth revenue platform. Data revenue now joins print, trade shows and digital revenue.
Last year, data revenue increased to $1.6 billion, a jump of 6.7% over 2008. The other three categories all declined: print declined 24.0%, trade shows were off 15.8% and digital fell 3.0%.
“We are delighted to now be able to present a more comprehensive and realistic assessment of the b-to-b industry,” ABM President-CEO Gordon T. Hughes II said in a statement.
Additionally, ABM released BIN figures for print magazines for January. Print advertising pages fell 16.34% compared with January 2009. Every category declined for the month with the exception of the agricultural sector, which was up a modest 2.26%.
