Story posted: November 6, 2009 - 2:13 pm EDT

New York—Roger Neal, senior VP-general manager of Businessweek.com, will not be joining Bloomberg LP when it acquires BusinessWeek from McGraw-Hill Cos., according to a memo sent by Bloomberg’s Norman Pearlstine and posted at TalkingBizNews.com.

In the memo, Pearlstine made several other personnel annoucements: Jessica Sibley will serve as senior VP-worldwide publisher of BusinessWeek, overseeing print and digital ad sales. Carl Fischer will be VP-global marketing and communications, and Tania Secor will have an expanded finance role with Bloomberg News as VP-finance that will include Bloomberg Markets and BusinessWeek.

Pearlstine added, “Ellen Pollock, John Byrne and Ciro Scotti will continue in their editorial leadership roles.” It was announced earlier that Stephen Adler, currently editor in chief, is leaving BusinessWeek and Keith Fox, president of BusinessWeek, will be leaving BusinessWeek but staying with McGraw-Hill Cos.

Pearlstine said most personnel decisions will be made by Nov. 20. “Bloomberg expects to retain a majority of Businessweek’s employees,” he wrote.
