Newton, Mass.—FreshAddress, a provider of permission-based e-mail change of address services, has signed an agreement to acquire those services from competitor Return Path.
FreshAddress will acquire Return Path’s old and new e-mail address change-pairs, hygiene technology, client and partner relationships, and related patents. Those services help companies maintain accurate customer e-mail addresses to lower bounce rates.
Return Path, based in New York, will continue to focus on e-mail marketing, concentrating on deliverability.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
