Amazon.com introduces 'Kindle,' wireless electronic reader

Story posted: November 19, 2007 - 1:38 pm EDT

New York—Online book sales giant Amazon.com has rolled out Kindle (www.amazon.com/kindle), a wireless electronic reader with access to several media outlets that could appeal to b-to-b media buyers.

The device has an electronic-paper display that looks and reads like real paper. Publications that are accessible through the device include The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes and Time—all auto-delivered wirelessly.

It also has more than 250 blogs, including TechCrunch and The Huffington Post, and access to wikipedia.org. More than 88,000 books, including 100 of 112 current New York Times Best Sellers, are available for download.
